Roof Leak And Damage Repairs

Roof Leak And Damage Repairs

A roof leak stemming from a poorly installed chimney cricket necessitated immediate attention. We repaired the issue by installing proper weatherstripping in the valleys, adding new flashings to enhance durability against winter conditions. We also applied sealant to vulnerable areas and replaced a section of damaged fascia and gable metal to complete the project effectively.

Severe winter conditions forced us to reattach and secure a heat cable, ensuring lasting protection against ice damage.

Heat Cable Repairs

Snow and ice had ripped an existing heat cable from its anchors, creating a need for immediate attention. We reattached the cable securely using stronger steel anchors and installed additional snow brackets to prevent future damage. All components were secured with roofing screws and sealed for waterproofing, ensuring longevity and stability of the system.

Wood Shingle Leak

We tackled a leak issue near the peak of the cabin by first removing the old ridge cap shingles. To ensure a durable solution, we replaced the top three feet with metal roofing panels and installed new ridge cap to complete the job effectively.

Leak Repairs And Shed Siding Installation

Leak Repairs And Shed Siding Installation

The roofing had sections that were damaged and needed immediate attention. We removed these compromised areas and replaced them with new materials. Additionally, we sealed vulnerable flashings, securing them with screws for enhanced durability, and installed new metal shed siding which we also sealed to ensure protection against the elements.

We replaced valley panels with flat sheets and reinforced seals to prevent leaks and ensure winter protection.

Valley Repairs

Ice dams in the roof valley were causing significant damage and leaks during winter months. We addressed this by removing the valley panels and replacing them with flat sheets to promote the sliding of snow and ice. All seams were meticulously double sealed with foam tape and elastomeric sealant, reinforced with roofing screws for durability, ensuring a watertight and resilient valley section to withstand harsh winters.

I had the pleasure of hiring Tanner Edwards with Edwards Roofing to work on my leaking cabin rooftop. He offered good suggestions with several different options for repairing the leaks and weathered areas. I found him to be very professional, polite and on schedule. Most importantly, he returned phone calls and thoroughly addressed all concerns related to the job. I found him to be very knowledgeable and somewhat of a perfectionisi. I am very satisfied with his workmanship. The final result of his repair was dramatically better in appearance than I expected. I am not sure how his prices compare with other roofers because he is the only one who called me back and provided an onsite estimate. He easily earns a 5 star rating from my interaction with him.
